The Workshop of the Screenplay: the initiative of the Solinas Award and Netflix

La Bottega della Screeneggiatura, a high-level coaching and training initiative aimed at young authors and authors. New stories and visions, with the aim of representing Italian creativity and multiculturalism

Great opportunity for all young aspiring screenwriters and screenwriters, with the initiative of Solinas Award e Netflix nominated The Screenplay Workshop. A great starting point to put into practice new forms of vision and creativity of young authors and female authors; able to represent Italian multiculturalism and who wish to develop stories for TV series.

A path divided into several phases for those who want to deepen and improve their level of knowledge and professionalism, dealing directly with great figures on the international national scene, between these: Isabella Aguilar, Laura Colella, Grams Collective (Antonio Le Fosse, Marco Raspanti, Re Salvador, Eleonora Trucchi), Jacopo del Giudice, Margherita Ferri, Filippo Gravino, Mohamed Hossameldin and many others.

How to apply and what to expect | The Workshop of the Screenplay: the initiative of the Solinas Award and Netflix

The Screenplay Workshop follows a path divided into several phases with a final selection. High-level coaching to deepen and refine skills in serial storytelling. Training through experience in the field, in which young aspirants will be asked to test themselves with projects conceived by themselves and developed along the way. Finally, access to work.

The first two projects selected in this first phase will be involved in a proposal to collaborate as assistants in a Writers’ Room. The first project will also receive the La Bottega della Screeneggiatura Prize of 6,000 euros.

It will be possible send your application until September 30th by visiting the official website. With a total of 20 selected projects ready to take part in the Orientation workshop. Lasting one week, it will allow them to meet mentors and present and deepen their projects with them through discussion and exchange sessions.

Concluded the first part the jury, on the basis of the new materials received by the authors, will make a further selection: a maximum of 10 projects will receive a scholarship of 2,500 euros each to participate in the Higher Education Workshop. Between coaching and masterclass sessions with mentors and other great Italian and international professionals, the laboratory will provide the skills to refine the knowledge and skills required, before the final step: writing the pilot episode.
