Verge TS, arriva la moto elettrica da 1.000 Nm di coppia e 300 km di autonomia thumbnail

Verge TS, the Finnish electric from 180 km / h arrives

After nearly two years with no news, Finnish brand Verge (formerly known as RMK Vehicle Corporation) has confirmed 2022 deliveries of its Verge TS. This is already considered by many to be a revolutionary electric motorcycle, as it has a perimeter motor developed entirely by the brand capable of generating 1,000 Nm of torque and reach a top speed of 180 km / h. La Verge TS (TS are the initials of its creator, Teemu Saukkio), is a bike created from scratch with a lot of ingenuity and heart that was presented for the first time at EICMA 2019.

Its exterior design mixes the classic features of a naked with the most futuristic technology to create a hybrid that certainly does not go unnoticed.

Verge TS, “thermal” performance but with engine and zero emissions

The brand’s engineers have created a motorcycle with a brushless electric motor which, an absolute novelty, fits directly into the contour of the rear tire. In Verge they baptized him perimeter motor and with it the TS is able to arrive at an output of 80 kW (107 hp) and 1,000 Nm of torque.

Thanks to all this ingenious and powerful electric motor, the bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 in less than four seconds, reaching, as mentioned, the remarkable maximum speed of 180 km/h.

The battery is positioned where the traditional petrol tank would normally go on a motorcycle with an internal combustion engine. This, according to what was declared by the Finnish house, offers an autonomy that will allow him to travel 200 km on the motorway and 300 in the city, taking four hours to fully charge. The company does not specify whether this battery is removable or not (from the official photos it does not seem), nor its capacity, nor its composition. These characteristics seem quite important to us when it comes to buying an electric motorcycle, powered by a battery.

What we know for sure is that the weight of the bike is 225 kg and that for the rest of the components uses high-level brands such as Öhlins adjustable suspension oi Brembo hydraulic disc brakes.

As for the electronics, Verge TS uses an instrument panel with LCD screen located in the “false tank” in which, in addition to displaying the most common data such as speed, range or power, it is also available a GPS navigator. A small digital speedometer has also been included on the handlebar to complement the LCD display.

Available in five different shades (blue, green, black, white or orange) starting in 2022, its starting price is 24,990 euros. To be able to buy it, you need to book on the company’s website in advance of 2,000 euros.
