Volvo Trucks announces a novelty for electric vehicles in Sweden, inaugurating a national network of public stations for recharge quick. This charging network is powered by renewable energy, representing an important contribution to the transition towards ecological transport.

The service is open to all brands of heavy vehicles, and is not limited to those produced by Volvo Trucks. Users will be able to find charging stations suitable for their vehicles, regardless of the operator. And they will be able to pay for the top-up via an integrated platform. In the future, it will also be possible to book the top-up, making the process even more convenient.

This new service offers heavy-duty fleet owners a reliable way to locate electric truck charging stations and pay a fair price, with no hidden costs. Furthermore, it offers the possibility to plan routes and manage administration, making electric trucks even more attractive for transport fleets.

Volvo Trucks’ charging network in Sweden is just the beginning of a larger project. The company is working on close contact with charging station operators around the world to expand this network and offer similar services in other countries.

Furthermore, Volvo Trucks is building sustainable charging infrastructure across Europe in collaboration with Lovera joint venture with Daimler Truck and the Traton Group. This partnership includes the installation ofthe over 1,700 charging points for heavy electric vehicles along the motorwaysnear them and at the logistics hubs.
