Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 immediately sets sales records

The wait for the new Mi Pad series was throbbing, especially in China where the first launch took place. The motivation lies in the excellent value for money of the tablet. But also in the fact that users have waited three years since the last launch of a device in this series.

The device comes in two versions, the base and the Pro one. However, both have a screen diagonal of 11 inches. And it’s a great screen. With resolution 2560×1600 and a refresh rate yes 120Hz, offers a high quality view. Also you can find HDR 10, Dolby Vision, TrueTone and hardware blue light reduction.

The main difference between the two variants lies in the processor. The base has a 2.96GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 860 7nm con GPU Andreno 640. The second instead has an octacore: Snapdragon 870 7nm, which presents the graphics Andreno 650. Furthermore the basic model has 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while the Pro has 8GB of the most performing memory LPDDR5. But they both have the memory UFS 3.1, 128 / 256GB for the base and 256GB for the Pro.

The camera also changes. If the base has 13MP of rear, the Pro has a sensor from 50MP and a 5MP depth sensor, although they both have 8MP of front camera. Small difference also in the batteries, with the base coming in at 8.720 mAh while the Pro a 8.600. But if the former has fast charging a 33W, the second comes to 67W.

The price in China starts from 1999 yuan, which is 263.25 euros. If these prices do not rise too high when arriving in Italy, it would be a really recommended purchase. But we have to wait to find out about availability in Europe. We will keep you informed.
