The most widespread and used browser for navigation in the world, Google Chrome, offers significant advantages in terms of privacy and security
We are more and more used to giving our voice to technology, to entrusting the many electronic devices that surround us with the task of solving our problems and always offering us the best advice. The web offers itself as the perfect container of info and data to carry out each of these operations, which have now become habitual and essential in our daily routine. There is a tool that more than others helps us in this regard, namely the most widespread and used browser for navigation in the world: Google Chrome.
Extensions are a very popular feature
In fact, most of the searches take place right here and the reason is soon said: not only Google Chrome presents itself to the user’s eyes with a completely intuitive and easy to use interface but it offers a very powerful set of features as well as perfect synchronization with various devices. Decisive in orienting the liking towards this browser is then the possibility of taking advantage of the extensions that allow you to customize Chrome, based on what are the different needs. The choice in relation to each of them may be due to the need to increase productivity or to better organize work in the office. There are extensions that aim to make digital searches safer and others that will instead serve to optimize time and save money. Recently – since privacy, data protection and online security are increasingly hot topics globally – Google has taken steps to update some key aspects of Chrome, which in fact is among the safest browsers ever (with a careful eye on the user experience).
Privacy, security and navigation methods
To meet users’ browsing habits, Google has made useful adjustments and corrections. For example, since many tend to clear their browsing history, the related control has been moved and highlighted in the settings section dedicated to ‘privacy and security’. On the other hand, regarding the management of cookies, the privacy rules interface has been made simpler and more intuitive. With regard to the use of third-party cookies, these can, for example, be blocked even during incognito browsing (as well as in the traditional one of course).
With regard to safety in particular, A new settings control has been added: in this way it will be possible to know if the passwords stored by the browser are compromised and, if necessary, to proceed with the resolution of the problem. Thanks to ‘Safe Browsing’, Google communicates if you are about to land on a potentially risky site: if this technology were to be disabled, you are warned. Still with regard to this feature, some important upgrades should be noted: first of all, the advanced protection offers greater customization in terms of malware and phishing (but not only). Google Chrome also checks in advance if a download is dangerous, by sending the relevant information to Safe Browsing. Finally, thanks to the secure DNS (domain name system) functionality, you can get a further improvement in terms of privacy and security while browsing.
