Within weeks of the release of the new chapter of the franchise, Halo Infinite lead narrative designer Aaron Linde has announced that he will be leaving 343 Industries in 2022.
On December 10th, the Halo Infinite single player campaign was finally made available to everyone (even on Xbox Game Pass) some time after the multiplayer was launched. Despite the various controversies about the missing features at launch, in our opinion 343 Industries has done a great job in re-proposing, in 2021, a chapter that was certainly unfortunate, but which has been able to redeem itself both in its single player and in the multiplayer sector. And today, just over three weeks after the actual launch of the title, Halo Infinite greets its Narrative Designer.
Aaron Linde, Lead Narrative Designer of the game, announced via Twitter his departure from 343 Industries in 2022. In the tweet, which you find below in the middle of the article, Linde does not give a real explanation for her departure, but merely states that she is leaving to chase a new opportunity and that the decision was really difficult.
Halo Infinite will remain one of the goals I am most proud of in my career for the rest of my life. I am really happy to have been able to be a part of it.
Bittersweet news to report: I’m departing 343 Industries to pursue a new opportunity in 2022. It was a terrifically difficult decision; Halo Infinite will remain one of the proudest achievements of my career for the rest of my life. I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.
