The World Photography Organization has announced all the overall winners of the Sony World Photography Awards 2022: let’s find out together.
Sony World Photography Awards 2022: the winning works and artists
After the competition phase, the World Photography Organization has released the list of winning works of the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards 2022. The Australian photographer won the most prestigious award, that of Photographer of the Year. Adam Ferguson, which won a cash prize of US $ 25,000 and a set of Sony digital photographic equipment. Ferguson won the award thanks to Migrantes. It is a series of black and white self-portraits of migrants waiting to cross the border between Mexico and the United States.
Furthermore, from tomorrow (13 April) until 2 May it will be possible to enjoy the exhibition of over 300 prints and hundreds of digital images at Somerset House in London. The exhibition also features the works of Edward Burtynsky, the celebrated Canadian photographer who won this year’s Outstanding Contribution to Photography award.
