The 21, 22 and 23 May 2021 in Rome, he returns ARF! KIDS, to the City of the Other Economy. A welcoming and familiar place, therefore, which has already been an integral part of ARF! in past editions.
A version in the presence of the well-established Kids Area of the Roman Festival that starts again from young and very young people, the first passionate readers of comics. The formula will allow you to carry out the event entirely in the open air, like a big aa party free entry.
Many events, including the exhibition of Sio, webstar of the very young, the extraordinary collective dedicated to “YOU KNOW WHO” and the exhibition dedicated to “one of the greatest masters of Italian comics like Hugo Pratt, Guido Crepax or Sergio Toppi”, Gianni De Luca, just in the year of the thirtieth anniversary of his death. On display at ARF! Kids some of the most beautiful original plates taken from works considered among the masterpieces of Italian comics, such as La Shakespearean trilogy and the Commissioner Spada.

“THIS IS AN EXHIBITION WITH SIO’S DRAWINGS” : a real “Sio experience”, dozens of tables printed in giant format thanks to PressUP, historical partner of ARF !.
Sio is the author of the manifesto this edition of ARF! KIDS. A real webstar for the very young audience, an author beloved by the public, also known outside the circle of Comics fans. Among his initiatives, which bear his unmistakable mark, there is the Scomix diary, the volumes for Feltrinelli Comics, and the latest cartoons for ice cream Puppy.
“YOU-KNOW-CHI – Dementors and Dementors for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” is a collective of unpublished works inspired by the famous villain of JK Rowling’s saga. They are made by over thirty names among the best pencils of the new Italian Comics scene, such as Giacomo Bevilacqua, Pera Toons, Francesco Guarnaccia, Samuel Spano, Kalina Muhova, Gloria Pizzilli, Martoz, Nova and many others.
A reinterpretation of the theme of “Evil” and its many facets, created in collaboration with Tonki, and entirely in support of Mediterranea Saving Humans. All the works on display, in fact, will be put up for sale and the entire proceeds will go to the NGO involved in rescuing migrants at sea.
“THE GREAT GIANNI DE LUCA DE IL GIORNALINO” is the title of the solo show dedicated to De Luca, defined as “one of the greatest masters of Italian comics like Hugo Pratt, Guido Crepax or Sergio Toppi, whose cultural influence is recognized by international stars such as Frank Miller, Dave McKean or Bill Sienkiewicz “.
On display at ARF! Kids a rich selection of some of the most beautiful original plates taken from The Shakespearean Trilogy, Paulus and Commissioner Spada, in collaboration with the famous children’s weekly Il Giornalino of Edizioni San Paolo.
In addition, there will be many readings, workshops and activities dedicated to children.
