Bloober Team: the software house is planning two “bigger” games than The Medium “

Bloober Team spoke in an interview about its games in development presenting them both as more ambitious projects than The Medium

Recently, it emerged that Bloober Team is working on three unannounced projects based on funding received from the Creative Europe Media Program of the European Commission, with all three projects appearing with brief details on the program website, but the Polish study made it clear in a statement provided to IGN that such information is incomplete and out of date. In fact, in fact, the games in development at Bloober Team they are two and both “greater than The Medium“. Let’s see all the details about it in the next lines of this article.

Bloober Team: Here are the games in development that will surpass The Medium

The information on the Creative Europe Media website described three projects Bloober Team with production code names: H20, a sequel to Layers of Fear; Dum Spiro, game set during the Second World War starring a boy imprisoned in a Polish Jewish ghetto; is Black, a first person horror game in a medieval setting that has been attacked by aliens.

According to the Bloober Team CMO, Tomasz Gawlikowski, H20 is Layers of Fear 2, rather than a third game in the series as it might initially seem. Meanwhile, the other two projects have also changed significantly: the idea of Dum Spiro has been shelved, as the developer does not believe it can offer a game “adequately sensitive to the topic and commercially viable at the same time”:

After numerous iterations of Dum Spiro, we have concluded that we cannot currently deliver it in a form that is adequately sensitive to the subject and commercially viable at the same time. In short, Dum Spiro is no longer in active development at the moment. The initial idea for Black was also shelved, and while we are still developing a game with this codename, it is now a very different project from what could be read on the web in recent times.

Bloober Team: the software house is planning two "bigger" games than The Medium "

Of course, there has also been a lot of speculation recently that Bloober Team is also working on a Silent Hill reboot, with the developer recently partnering up strategically with Konami. While Gawlkikowski didn’t comment on this, he still reported that the studio is currently working on two projects: one of them is in full development, while the other is in pre-production, and both are apparently larger than The Medium (which was already the biggest game of Bloober Team when it launched earlier this year, you can find the review here):

In Bloober Team we have two active internal projects, one in the production phase and one in the pre-production phase. Both will have a broader reach than The Medium, however, neither is based on themes or premises that have been circulating online in the last few days.

In all likelihood, the game developed under the code name Black is the project currently under development, while the alleged Silent Hill title is in pre-production. Obviously for now these are only hypotheses so take them with the usual pliers. We just have to wait for a few official words.
