Il Book salon returns in 2023 in its 35th edition. The Turin event will take place from 18 to 23 May 2023 at the Lingotto Fiere exhibition centre, located in via Nizza 294. Per five dayspublishers, authors and authors will meet readers and enthusiasts of the sector in general, taking the opportunity to sell their titles and present the latest publishing news, all in almost forty rooms for a program that has more than 1200 appointments ranging in the most diverse cultural fields.
Book fair 2023: the story of an event
The Turin Book Fair saw its birth in 1987, thanks to the union of various Italian publishing houses and the promotion of the bookseller Angelo Pezzana and the entrepreneur Guido Accornerowhich at the time held shares in the publishing house Einaudi. The success of the event was immediate, and over one hundred thousand visitors already attended the first edition. The salon will then be moved to the Lingotto in 1992, due to the always maggiore number of exhibitors and visitors and the consequent need for space. To date, the Turin Book Fair is one of the major Italian literary expressions, with a renowned history and fame and collaboration with other events of the caliber of the Children’s Boom Fairwhere the Bologna Ragazzi Award is also held, one of the major awards linked to illustrated fiction for children and teenagers.
