In trailer of presentation of the modality Zombie from Call of Duty: Vanguard you can witness the slaughter of the undead on the notes of a song by Billie Eilish. In short, the continuation of the plot of Dark Aether first inaugurated by Treyarch in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Activision described the modality in these terms:

This co-op experience continues and intertwines with Dark Aether’s story to create a deeply immersive lore, all while innovating the core gameplay the mode is famous for. From Stalingrad to Shi No Numa, you’ll fight Von List’s undead army on all fronts using a new skill set.
