Cruella: the Maneskin join the choral cast. Damiano and Victoria, in fact, lend their voices for small cameos, already available in some clips of the film

The cruel, origin story of one of the most iconic villains of all time, will finally arrive in Italian cinemas on May 26 and streaming on Disney + – with Vip access – two days later. Among the titles postponed due to the pandemic from Covid 19 it is certainly one of the most anticipated, and one of the few to have chosen (also) the path of the big screen.

Craig Gillespie – former director of Tonya – directs Emma Stone ed Emma Thompson in a dark and punk reinterpretation of the story of Cruella De Mon, which appeared for the first time in the animated film The 101 Dalmatians. And, for Italian viewers, a piece of news has recently been released that will contribute to increasing the hype for the film. Among the voice actors, in fact, in addition to Domitillia D’Amico who returns to dub Stone, there will also be Damiano David e Victoria De Angelis, respectively singer and bassist of the band Maneskin, very popular with the very young. Damiano voices Jeffrey, assistant to the baroness played by Emma Thompson, villain of this version of the story. Their first meeting, in which the character voiced by the singer appears, is reprized in the following sequence, released as a clip.

The Maneskin leader also sings a cover of I Wanna be your dog (The Stooges), lending his voice to Artie, who in the film performs the song during a fashion show. Victoriainstead, he carves out a very short vocal cameo by dubbing a fashion reporter. You can already hear it, in preview, in another clip of the film:

With the hope that more and more cinemas (re) open in this period, we just have to wait until the 26th to enjoy the story of Cruella and its origins in the hall.
