Finally Carnival Row: Prime Video reveals the release date and the trailer

News finally arrives on Carnival Row: the series will return in early 2023 with the second, and final season

It seemed to be lost in thin air and instead Prime Video finally broke news on Carnival Row. The fantasy series with Cara Delevigne and Orlando Bloom, whose first season was released in the now distant August 2019, will officially return with a new chapter on February 17, 2023. Great news for fans, but accompanied by a bad one: this second season of the series will also be theultima. Carnival Row will therefore conclude its troubled run with a final chapter consisting of 10 episodes, which will be released weekly by Prime Video. In addition to the announcement of the release date, the Amazon platform has also left the first teaser trailer of the series.

Carnival Row 2: the plot

Before we dive into the storyline of Carnival Row’s second season, it’s good to do a point of the situation and understand where we had stayed, considering the long period of time that has elapsed since the first season. In Burgue humans and fairies live together in a problematic way, divided by prejudices and different social conditions. When several fairy creatures begin to be killed in the Row at the hands of a terrible serial killer, the inspector Rycroft Philostrateknown as Philo (Orlando Bloom) begins to investigate the facts and approaches the fairy Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevigne). Eventually, Philo learns of his fairy origins, while the humans increase the repression in the Row.

In the second season, therefore, Philo will continue his investigations finding himself dealing with a series of gruesome murders, while Vignette, together with the criminal gang Black Crow, fight to take revenge against the oppression that fairies experience at the hands of humans. Alongside the events of the two protagonists, we find those of Tourmaline (Karla Crome) who credit the powerful powers that risk turning her into a threat, and Imogen and Agreus (Tamzin Merchant and David Gyasi) who, fleeing Burgue, encounter a radical society that will forever change their lives.

After a long wait, in short, Carnival Row is about to return with the highly anticipated second season, which will definitively conclude the series. In the meantime, here’s the trailer released by Prime Video:
