Cosmo I AM, Materia Futura, will be inaugurated on April 19th with an exceptional patroness, the famous singer Levante. This second edition of Cosmopolitan's exhibition event focuses on the future, exploring the prospects of Generation Z across a wide range of creative works. More than 200 students from the main Italian academic institutions will present photographs, videos, written works and illustrations, offering a unique vision of tomorrow. Cosmo I AM, Materia Futura is a three-day event with a rich program of exhibitions, meetings and workshops. Open to the public on Friday 19 April from 11am to 4.30pm and Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April from 10am to 7pm.
The Instax Mini 99 camera to capture the perspectives of Gen Z
As part of this collaboration, INSTAX Italia involved four professional photographers in the Cosmo I AM project. They are Simone Biavati, Irene Trancossi, Cristina Sinelli, Arianna Angelini. And five photography students, Giada Cuzzocrea, Mirko Ostuni, Alex Rivetti, Giulia Romania, Luca Imperatrice.
They each used the INSTAX MINI 99 instant camera to capture Gen Z's perspectives on relationships, nature, anxieties and the future. The over 135 shots on display are an authentic reflection of the emotions and visions of this emerging generation.
Where the photos taken with Instax Mini 99 will be displayed
The images will be displayed on a wall set up in the garden of Casa Emergency, inviting visitors to the Fuorisalone 2024 to interact with the feelings and visions portrayed in the shots. Instax, synonymous with fun, sharing and creativity, also offers photographic opportunities to visitors, who will have the opportunity to try the new INSTAX MINI 99 camera and take photos to take away as souvenirs.
The new INSTAX MINI 99 camera, with 6 available color effects and many other creative features, was the perfect tool to express the unique visions of Cosmo I AM participants.

Additionally, FUJIFILM INSTAX is offering a free workshop to be held by photographer Valentina Tamborra on April 21 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, where participants can explore the theme “Color Your Emotions on the Future” using the INSTAX MINI 99 camera.
Participants will be asked to produce portraits of other participants or visitors or their own self-portraits that immortalize the emotions the subject feels about the future.
They will have to take the photos by choosing one of the 6 color effects of the MINI 99 that best represents the emotion of the subject portrayed.
Valentina Tamborra will lead the group on the environmental portrait, taking advantage of the external space of the garden to find settings, subjects and backgrounds for the portraits. There will be a first part of theory and then the participants will be able to experiment with using the camera and produce their own snapshots, which will remain with them as a small work and souvenir.
