Iron Man: EA Motive’s game is still in pre-production

From “Tony Stark” to “Tony Stank” it’s a moment: it’s not Stan Lee’s cameo in Captain America – Civil War, but the Iron Man game from EA Motive

If you were hoping that the development of the new creature of EA Motives were proceeding quickly, we have to inform you that the suit of Iron Man is still being tested in the basement of Tony Stark’s mansion. The (potentially unpleasant) confirmation comes from an official post from the development team, with Patrick Klaus at the helm. Since the launch of the Dead Space remake, the title is still in pre-production (or, in terms unrelated to development, on the high seas). The development team brought together a group of fans to exchange feedback from an early stage. Klaus also confirmed that the title will be modeled with the fine clay ofUnreal Engine 5. It will be the first game from the development team not to use Frostbite (Dead Space, Star Wars Squadrons, Star Wars Battlefront 2).

Klaus lifts his veil: here’s what we know about EA Motive’s Iron Man

“Since the launch of Dead Space,” Klaus begins triumphantly, “we’ve been hard at work on the Iron Man project, giving us the opportunity to work (and play!) with another extraordinary property. We are still in pre-production, and will take our time to create the ideal development environment. But we’ve already found so many opportunities to explore Iron Man’s story, design and gameplay, and it’s really exciting to see the fantasy come to life.” We don’t know much else, but previous job postings on the subject suggest it’s an experience open world. However, this is not the only Marvel property with a project in the pipeline at Electronic Arts. The latter is in fact working on another game, also open world, inspired by Black Panther.
