The first teaser of Last Night in Soho anticipates the release of the trailer for Edgar Wright’s psychological thriller slated for Tuesday 25 May. In the cast of the horror-nuanced psychological thriller film set in London in the Soho area, alongside Thomasin McKenzie e Anya Taylor-Joy there will also be the English actor Matt Smith e Diana Rigg. The screenplay is signed by Edgar Wright with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
The story revolves around a girl passionate about fashion design, who mysteriously manages to connect with the 60s where she meets her idol, a dazzling aspiring singer. But 1960s London is not what it seems and time seems to be falling apart with dramatic consequences.
I feel very different from all my other films. But at the same time I have always liked these films, which start in one way and slowly change into something else, many of my films are like that. Last Night in Soho starts with a particularly psychological meaning but then slowly begins to get more intense as it goes on. I like trying to get to making movies in genres that I haven’t explored yet and, in this case, there’s a particular kind of psychological horror from the 60s and 70s that has an almost lyrical feel. And that’s the visual language I’m trying to use.
