Yesterday, Sony and Nixxes shared the launch trailer for the Remastered PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: are you ready to go back to flying among the skyscrapers to the sound of cobwebs?

While fleeting news arrives on the second chapter, Marvel’s Spider-Man continues to be, for all fans of Sony’s exclusive exclusives, a good reason to boast. We told you about it at the time with a complete review, which you can find by clicking here, but in recent days the Spider-Man of trust it also landed on PC, like so many other PlayStatiomn first-party exclusives over time. The same will happen for the stand-alone spin-off dedicated to Miles Morales, originally released as an exclusive Sony console, but whose “remastered” port is scheduled for this winter.

Yesterday, just in conjunction with the launch on PC, Sony has released the game’s launch trailer complete with a dedicated blog post. The latter can be found complete on the PlayStation Blog and contains some statements and quotes from the development team, regarding the choices made in the process of creating the port. Instead, the trailer seems to want to focus more on the game itself and on the adrenaline-pumping action that we will be able to experience (or relive) as the elusive Spider-Man. You can find it below.

The blog post instead focuses on more technical aspects of development, such as how the game supports ultra-wide monitors and more screen enhancement options. According to Coen Frauenfelder, Lead Software Engineer, the team decided to add support for 32: 9 screens (48: 9 for a three-monitor setup). For some scenes, however, the best aspect will still be 16: 9. As a rule, developers use black borders to eliminate excess space, but Nixxes, the developers behind Remastered, decided to add ultra-wide view. In this way, 32: 9 will also be supported in the cutscenes, but monitors with even higher aspect ratios will reproduce cutscenes with blurred edges.
