The French Tennis Federation and Renault have announced the signing of a partnership agreement. Renault diventa Premium Partner del Roland-Garros, which will take place from May 16th to June 5th. The agreement is scheduled for an initial period of 5 years (from 2022 to 2026).

The partnership also envisages the supply by Renault of a fleet of 100 new electric Megane E-Techs, out of a total of 160 vehicles. As part of this new collaboration and for the first time in the history of the tournament, the Renault logo will be displayed on the nets of the five main pitches of the Roland-Garros stadium (Philippe-Chatrier, Suzanne-Lenglen, Simonne-Mathieu, # 7 and # 14).

Renault and Roland-Garros, the initiatives accompanying the partnership

The partnership does not stop only with the presence of the logo on the fields and the supply of electric cars. Indeed, Renault launches “GIVE ME 5”, a new social project designed for the new generations.

Renault intends to encourage the spread of tennis in the cities, redeveloping the playgrounds in the suburbs with the help of local artists. Two camps are expected to open by the end of the year.

And to help finance the project “GIVE ME 5”, the diamond brand will implement the “Let Challenge” during the Tournament. In practice, whenever the service ball hits the net tape before it falls into the opponent’s court, which happens on average more than 2,000 times in the fortnight of the tournament, Renault will donate a sum of money to support the social initiative.

In addition, groups of children and adolescents from disadvantaged backgrounds, guests of Renault, will be able to attend a tournament day.

During the days of the tournament, Renault will have a 150 m² stand on the Roland-Garros boulevards. The Renault Megane E-Tech Electric, Renault 5 Prototype and New Renault Austral will be exhibited here, the world premiere of which will take place at Roland-Garros.

And anyone who wants to go to the tournament in a sustainable way will be able to to do this thanks to Renault and the car sharing company ZITY by Mobilize. Spectators will be able to go to Roland-Garros and park near the stadium in one of the ZITY car parks.
