Snow: the previews of the sequel with Kit Harington

Although HBO is keeping the project a secret, Kit Harington let slip some sneak peeks about the new series Snow

WARNING: SPOILER danger! This article contains some sneak peeks about the ending of Game of Thrones. If you intend to recover it without any anticipated news, we advise you not to continue reading.

In recent days a convention entirely dedicated to was held in Los Angeles Game of thrones, the series based on the (still unfinished) novels by George RR Martin. He was also present at the event Kit Harington who, for eight seasons, played one of the main characters: Jon Snow. It was an opportunity to indulge in some small previews of a new series that has been rumored for some time now: Snow.

The new production, still with a provisional title, would see the return of the actor in the role of Snow, to narrate what happened to him after the conclusion of the last, much-discussed season of Game of Thrones.

Snow: the advances of Kit Harington

From the first rumors, it seems it was Harington himself who proposed the creation of this new series, also suggesting the names of some screenwriters and showrunners to be involved. The actor then confessed his idea about the conditions in which we will find Jon in the first episodes: they it would be very bad. This would be the starting point of the new series. It’s certainly no wonder that’s the case, judging by how we left the character in the Game of Thrones season 8 finale. Indeed, Harington confessed:

At the end of the series he is preparing to be beheaded and he really wants that to happen. It’s over for him. Being sent to the Wall is his greatest gift, but also his greatest curse. He has to go back to that place with all this history on his shoulders and live his life thinking about how he killed Dany, Ygritte dying in his arms, how he had Olly hanged and all the traumas he experienced. So I think about how we left it at the end of Game of Thrones. There was this feeling… I think we wanted a smile, we wanted to know that things were going to be okay. But no, it’s not good.

Snow: a new success?

Despite George RR Martin confirming this, the network HBO has not yet formalized the release of this new chapter. The mere rumors about its creation have created excitement in the public, but also conflicting opinions, due to a not exactly acclaimed season finale. While on the one hand fans of the series, disappointed by how it all ended, see in this new production a sort of “excuse” that will bring the plot back on track, on the other hand many have defined themselves as skeptics at the mere thought of returning to those characters and events that had upset what could have been one of the most beautiful TV series ever.

Better not to talk too soon and wait for more news regarding this new production. History teaches us that a product must never be judged ahead of time; he proved it House of the Dragon. In fact, the prequel, after making many of those disappointed by the eighth season of Game of Thrones turn up their noses, managed to win back a large slice of the public, who instead found it a valid product, on a par with the first seasons of the mother series.
