The Sony’s range of E-mount photo lenses reaches 66 elements with the debut of the new one FE PZ 16-35 mm F4 G. This new lens is a wide-angle motorized zoom featuring stunning image quality, high-performance autofocus and various premium features. Here are all the details:
Sony introduces the new FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G lens
FE PZ 16-35 mm F4 G is the latest addition to the Sony E-mount line of lenses. It is a solution that aims to offer high image quality as well as advanced features for creating full frame content.
The lens consists of two AA (advanced aspherical) elements, a standard aspherical element, a Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) element, an ED glass element and an aspherical ED element. Also worth mentioning a minimum focusing distance of 0.28 meters at 16mm and 0.24 meters at 35mm. Then there is a maximum magnification of 0.23x.
Sony’s new FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G lens, for the first time in an Alpha lens, integrates six XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors for focus and zoom. It should also be noted that the FE PZ 16-35 mm F4 weighs 353 grams, resulting about 30% lighter than SEL1635Z.
It is worth noting the resistance to humidity and dust as well as the presence of a fluorine coating for the front element which guarantees maximum cleanliness and reliability outdoors.
Availability and price
