Suzuki Italia announces the arrival of Vice President Toru Oyama
The Italian section of Suzuki, chaired by engineer Massimo Nalli, has just added a prominent element to its management team. From 29 October Toru Oyama manages the Motorcycle and Marine Engines division, an important and vital part of the Suzuki ecosystem in our country.
Oyama is fifty-two years old, married and has one son. Born in Komamoto in Japan, he has been working within the Suzuki group since 1992. A true expert of the brand, with almost thirty years of work in the team: he spent more than half of his life working for Suzuki.
In 1992 he began his career working in the Sales Planning division and dealing with various projects. Among these, his commitment as a support for racing in the Team Suzuki Italia SS600. From 2001 to 2010 he worked for Suzuki USA, managing the motorcycle and ATV business. From 2011 to 2021 he returned to Suzuki Motor Corporation to deal with the markets of North America, Oceania and Latin America. In fact, it does from Group Manager for the sales division.
Toru Oyama will now have the opportunity to drive Suzuki Italy, which he already knew for managing the racing team, in the Motorcycle and Marine Engines sector. An opportunity to assert your experience once again in our country. The expectations in the Italian team of the Japanese brand are high but Oyama’s profile seems more than suitable to manage them.
