The new title of the popular adventure series will see the return of the protagonist Kate Walker, whose new stories will intertwine with the character of Dana Roze. Since its inception, the popular adventure franchise created by Microïds has been able to create dramatic and poetic atmospheres, while leveraging discovery-based gameplay and puzzle solving. It’s been about four years since the release of the third episode of Syberia (here our review) but finally, starting next month, fans of the saga will be able to return to immerse themselves in a new investigation by Kate Walker.
The launch trailer released in the past few hours clearly shows how Syberia: The World Before is faithful to the classic canons so loved by fans of the saga. From the enchanting landscapes, once again the work of Benoît Sokal, to the articulated dialogues, the new Syberia seems to have all the credentials to become another cult in the genre of graphic adventures. The title is confirmed to arrive on December 10 on PC, while console users will have to wait until next year, as the release of the title on those platforms is currently indicated with a generic 2022.
