From February 23, 2022 will be available on Disney+ The Proud Family: stronger and prouder, the long-awaited “revival” of the very current series broadcast by Disney Channel, with the title of “The Proud Family”. THE new episodes will be available every Wednesday.
From 2001 to 2022
For all those who have never heard of it, “The Proud family” it’s a original animated series by Disneywhich saw its US debut in September of 2001. In Italy, however, it was broadcast on Rai2 from 2003. It’s about a musical series which was a great success. Credit for the sequel also goes to its history linked to themes of inclusion and reception Of cultures and traditions. The context is completely surrounded by funny moments and full of entertainment.
The series was even more successful thanks to the theme song sung by Beyoncè’s sister, Solange. In collaboration with the talented composer, songwriter and film producer Kurt Farquhar. Here he will always make his return as an author and composer for this new chapter. Farquhar conceived one new version for this revival, played by the rising star of R&B Joyce Wrice with a cast of celebrities who will lend their voices in the original version. The digital soundtrack “The Proud Family: louder and prouder”Will be available later this year under the label Walt Disney Records.
The return of Penny and her energetic family
Penny Proud, the 14-year-old protagonist of the series, will always be with her parents Oscar and Trudy, the twin brothers BeBe and CeCe, and her grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!). The characters will accompany us in the new hilarious adventure. The episodes are rich in content, even if you are a little out of the “teen” world. Together with her team of Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez and Zoey Howzer, they will face the changes due to growth, freedom of thought and expression, with the great goal of bringing out the riches among the differences.
In addition to voci original cast which will be resumed, between new entries we will meet Keke Palmer (Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins), Billy Porter and Zachary Quinto (Randall e Barry Leibowitz-Jenkins). L’artista rapper “A Boogie” Dubose (Francis “KG” Leibowitz-Jenkins), EJ Johnson (Michael Collins), Asante Blackk (Kareem), Bresha Webb (CeCe) e Aiden Dodson (BeBe).

We think that the original series sees behind it “behind” Bruce W. Smithanimation expert involved in projects like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit ”and“ Space Jam“. A targeted work was carried out, with the desire to use the language of comedies to tell the life of a African American family. The starting point of view is that of the fourteen-year-old daughter, struggling with the little adventures of every day between school, relationships and everyday life and change.
