World SBK 2022, here is the complete calendar

The MOTUL FIM SBK World Championship 2022 will feature events in four continents that will share (not equally) a total of 13 rounds where the riders will look for the points to win the world title. Twelve have already been confirmed, while the thirteenth is yet to be defined. The official date of the stage in Australia is also missing, at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.

As in 2021, the first nine rounds of the SBK World Cup will take place in Europe. The first green light to turn on will be at MotorLand Aragón in Spain from 8 to 10 April, and will continue at TT Circuit Assen, in the Netherlands, from 22 to 24 April.

The Estoril Circuit will host the third round, from 20 to 22 May, while the arrival in Italy of the World SBK 2022 is scheduled for Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the fourth round, from 10 to 12 June, on the occasion of the “GranPremio dell’Emilia-Romagna”.

The paddock will then be set up on British soil a Donington Park from 15 to 17 July, with SBK and SSP scheduled for the weekend. It will be the only European round without WorldSSP300.

The sixth episode of the championship sees the Czech Republic on stage, and yours Autodromo de Most from 29 to 31 July, before the summer break. It will be the second year that the SBK world championship stops in this structure.

France will be the host country of the seventh event of the year. The race on transalpine soil will take place in Magny-Cours between 9 and 11 September and will be followed two weeks later by the second round on Spanish soil, at the Barcelona-Catalonia Circuit.

Two weeks later he will be visited, he will cross the Spanish borders to land in Portugal, at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, from 7 to 9 October. The Portuguese “Round” will also be the last of the Supersport300 season (SSP300).

World SBK 2022, it’s back to Phillip Island

The last three rounds of the SBK and SSP World Cup yes will take place outside the European continent. It will start in Argentina on the Tour de San Juan from 21 to 23 October.

As happened in 2021, after the visit to South America, the World Championship for motorbikes derived from the series will jump to the Asian continent; in Indonesia, for the second time, the pilots will compete for the victory over Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit .

The Phillip Island Grad Prix circuit is listed in the calendar, but has not yet been scheduled. The Australian round will close the season for the first time since 1996.

Broadly speaking, there will be a thirteenth event, with dates and venues to be announced in due course.

It should be remembered that outside Europe only categories will compete SBK e Supersport (SSP).

Season 2022 of WorldSBK however, it will officially begin on April 4th and 5th, when a ” Supported Test” a Motorland Arago, less than a week before the start of the competition.

All dates, events and spectator participation are subject to the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions that will be implemented by governments and relevant authorities.
