Canon seeks photojournalism talent at Visa pour l’Image 2023

Canon Europein collaboration with Visa for l’Imagehas opened nominations for the Canon Female Photojournalism Grant 2023. A scholarship of 8,000 euros dedicated to women who want to give voice to social, economic, political or cultural issues through photojournalism. Candidates must send 10 to 20 images of their photographic reports.

Canon and Visa pour l’Image 2023 for photojournalism

The Canon Female Photojournalism Grant is one of the initiatives that Canon Europe promotes to celebrate and enhance female talent in the field of photography. Canon Europe partners with Visa pour l’Image to support the festival and its protagonists with various activities, including exhibitions, workshops, conferences and awards.

The grant awarded various personalities from the world of photojournalism, including let us remember Natalya Saprunova (2022), Acacia Johnson (2021), Sabiha Grass (2020), Anush Babajanyan (2019) e Laura Morton (2018).

To participate in the scholarship, one must be a professional photojournalist e send 10 to 20 images illustrating the photographic project. The theme of the project is free, but it must have relevance social, economic, political or cultural. The images must be accompanied by a brief presentation of the project and a personal biography.

Applications are free and open until 17 maggio 2023 and can be submitted via the Visa pour l’Image website. The winner will be announced in September 2023 during the festival to be held at Perpignanin France.
