The 2023 Strega Prize has its twelve finalists, which will be read by a jury for the announcement of the winner in July. Let’s find out together which titles have been selected for the final of the literary prize

The jury of Witch Award she finally expressed herself, announcing the twelve finalists for the 2023 edition, among the 80 proposed by the jury of Sunday friends. The finalist books will be read by a large jury, which will include not only the members of Amici della Domenica but also carefully selected scholars, translators and linguists. Many female authors, including some at their debut; some publishers are participating for the first time; together with the companies and institutions that have been supporting us for some time, new partners are added in this edition, the collaboration with the Capitoline Administration resumes. They are all signs of vitality, we trust above all in books and readers to reaffirm the role of the Witch as a mirror of Italian culture and society.

The announcement of the finalists will be held at the Roman Theater of Benevento, while the July 6that the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, the winner of the 2023 Strega Prize will be announced.
